Location: Waseca, MN, United StatesProfile: Born Jamie Dykema, on March 21st of 1983 In Virginia. Jamie & his family almost immediatley moved to Orange County, California, where Jamie became interested in rap music & began writing lyrics & recording them with a hand-held tape recorder. A few years later, his family decided to move to Minnesota, where Jamie dropped the mic & picked up a basketball, after basketball didnt go as smoothly as planned, Jamie once again began writing, filling up notebooks upon notebooks with stress-vented lyrics. As soon as Jamie's family got a computer, he found every music program he could get his hands on & started creating his own beats. Then once the beats were finished, he would lay lyrics over the beats. Jamie has recently written, performed, & produced his own demo & has been selling them directly from the trunk of his car. Jamie has also been performing as often as possible, (Talent Show/Hyatt in Minneapolis). Jamie has also been called his worst critic, "Even though people tell me that my flow is tight, or that the CD is done pretty well, I still feel as though I didn't do it as well as I could of, things that people don't even pick up on, they pop out at me like crazy." Jamie has also been promoting himself as often as possible, "I'm featured on a couple of websites, (www.garageband.com/artist/babydee)/& I will also have my own website at (www.babydee.com) in the near future. In his last year at Waseca High School, Jamie plans to attend Music Tech after graduation & Major in Production/Songwrting.
